The Human Detection Sensor is on the left side of the machine. If it is enabled and the machine detects a person approaching it, the machine exits Sleep mode automatically. If the sensor remains disabled for a specified period, the machine enters Sleep mode. For details, see "System Settings", Connecting the Machine/ System Settings.

When the sensor is exposed to air flows, direct sunlight, or strong electromagnetic waves.
The machine does not enter Sleep mode in the following cases:
While the Human Detection Sensor detects the changes of the environmental conditions or any movement of a person, even when a person does not stand in front of the sensor.
When the sensor is exposed to strong electromagnetic waves.
