Cloud Fax is a feature that allows a machine to send and receive faxes via a cloud fax service provided by an Internet fax service provider.
Fax transmission with Cloud Fax
To send a fax, specify the fax number of the destination just as is normally done with a fax machine. The specified fax number is automatically converted to an e-mail address. The machine sends the fax to the cloud fax service by e-mail, and the cloud fax service forwards it to the destination with G3 Fax.
Fax reception with Cloud Fax
When you enter into a cloud fax service use agreement, you will obtain a fax number for receiving. Configure the cloud fax service so that any fax sent to the receiving fax number is forwarded by e-mail, and ask the sender to specify the fax number when sending faxes, just as is normally done with a fax machine.The fax sent by the sender is sent to a cloud fax service with G3 Fax and is then forwarded to the machine by e-mail.
