Bitmap image compression method

The bitmap images to be printed using RTIFF must be coded using one of the following compression methods and tags:

No-compression method

Tag	Condition
Compression (259)	The value is set to 1.

MH (Modified Huffman) method

This compression method can be applied to two-color (black and white) images only.

Compression (259)	The value is set to 3.
T4Options (292)	This tag is not included, or the value is set to either of the following: If no-compression mode is not used, and there is no padding bit before the EOL code: 0 If no-compression mode is used, and there is no padding bit before the EOL code: 2 If no-compression mode is not used, and there is a padding bit before the EOL code: 4 If no-compression mode is used, and there is a padding bit before the EOL code: 6

Corrected MH (Modified Huffman) compression method

This compression method can be applied to two color (black-and-white) images only.

JPEG compression method

JPEGTables (347)	This tag is not included, or a compression table is specified.
JPEGInterchangeFormat (513)	This tag is not included, or the value is set to the appropriate value (offset to JPEG SOI).

If printing TIFF data fails, specify "Hard Disk" for "W. Data Buffer" on the RTIFF Menu or specify the "diskbuffer" printing option. You may be able to print the TIFF file that has failed to print due to insufficient memory. The amount of memory allocated for data processing can be checked in "Storage Mem." on the Print Settings List (RTIFF). The Print Settings List (RTIFF) can be printed from the control panel or by using the summary print specification command.
