Locked Print

You can set a password to an original to prevent unauthorized printing of it.

1Select the original you want to print.

2Select [Print...] on the [File] menu.

3Select the machine you are using in the [Printer:] pop-up menu.

4Click [Job Log] in the pop-up menu.

5Click [Locked Print] in the [Job Type:] pop-up menu.

6Enter user ID in the [User ID:] box using up to 8 alphanumeric characters.

7Enter the password in the [Password:] box.

You can use 4 to 8 digits for the password.

8Select [Printer Features] in the pop-up menu.

9Select [Print Quality 1] in [Feature Sets:].

10Select [Speed Priority (Drawing)], [Speed Priority], [Standard], or [Quality Priority].

11Print the document using the print function in the default application of the original.

The original is not printed at this time. It is stored in the machine.

12Enter the password using the machine's control panel, and print the original.
