Standard Printing

Important

  • If you send a print job via USB 2.0 while the machine is in Low Power mode or Sleep mode, an error message might appear when the print job is complete. In this case, check if the document was printed.

1Click the WordPad menu button in the upper left corner of the window, and then click [Print].

2In the [Select Printer] list, select the printer you want to use.

3Click [Preferences].

4Select the [Frequently Used Settings] tab.

5In the "Job Type:" list, select [Normal Print].

6In the "Document Size:" list, select the size of the original to be printed.

7In the "Orientation" area, select [Portrait] or [Landscape] as the orientation of the original.

8In the "Paper Type:" list, select the type of paper that is loaded in the paper input location.

9In the "Paper Input Location:" list, select the paper input location that contains the paper you want to print onto.

If you select [Auto Select Paper Input] in the "Paper Input Location:" list, the paper input location is automatically selected according to the paper size and type specified.

10Select [Color] or [Black and White] in the "Color/Black and White:" list.

11If you want to print multiple copies, specify a number of sets in the "Copies:" box.

12In the "Select Print Quality:" list, select [Speed Priority (Drawing)], [Speed Priority], [Standard], or [Quality Priority].

You can also specify the print quality settings by clicking the [Detailed Settings] tab, and then [Print Quality:Standard] in the "Menu:" box.

13Click [OK].

14Start printing from the application's [Print] dialog box.

Note

  • If [Color] is selected in the "Color/Black and White:" list, you can print using special color outputs suitable for color vision impaired users. To use this function, click the [Detailed Settings] tab. Click the [Print Quality:Advanced] menu in the "Menu:" box, and then select [On] in the "Barrier-free Color Management:" list.

  • Check the remaining amount of ink before printing on large size paper. The machine will stop printing if any of the ink cartridges becomes empty. Printing cannot be resumed even after you have replaced the empty cartridge.

  • If a color ink cartridge becomes empty while you are printing a black-and-white print job, you can continue to print in black and white temporarily. Follow the on-screen message to continue printing or to cancel printing.

  • [Speed Priority (Drawing)] appears only when plain paper, recycled paper, inkjet plain, thin paper, or coated (CAD) is specified as the paper type.

  • Settings for print quality are as follows:

    • Speed Priority (Drawing)

While print speed takes priority, printing is performed using the setting appropriate for diagrams with fine lines or CAD applications.
