In the case of using WPA on a network, activate the WPA setting to be used for communication along with WPA.
You can specify this setting only if [Communication Mode] is set to [Infrastructure Mode].
Only CCMP (AES) is available as the encryption method.

Performs authentication using an encryption key (a Pre-Shared Key) that is shared by the access point and client. External authentication servers are not used. |
Press the [Menu] key, and then select setting items using the [
] or [
] key.
Log in as the network administrator from the printer's control panel.
Select [Host Interface] 
Press [OK]
Select [Wireless LAN] Press [OK]
Select [Security Method] Press [OK]
Select [WPA2] [Details] [Authentication Method] Press [OK]
If using WPA2, Step to 6.
If using WPA2-PSK, Step to 7.
Select [WPA2] [OK] [Exit]
Step to 9.
Select [WPA2-PSK] Press [OK] Press [OK]
Enter the Pre-Shared Key. Press [OK]
Enter the Pre-Shared Key using between 8 and 63 ASCII characters.
Uppercase and lowercase letters are differentiated, so be sure to enter characters in the required case.
Press [Menu] twice.
Log out.
