General Settings

Plain Paper Setting

You can specify the weight of plain paper.

You can set the paper weight for each tray separately.

For details about the actual paper weight, see Paper Type Specifications.

Letterhead Setting

You can specify the thickness of the letterhead paper.

The paper thickness can be set for each tray separately.

Change this setting only when printouts show heavy smudging. A higher number indicates greater thickness.

Coated Paper (Glossy) Stg.

You can specify the thickness of the coated paper (glossy).

The paper thickness can be set for each tray separately.

Change this setting only when printouts show heavy smudging. A higher number indicates greater thickness.

Coated Paper(Glossy:Thick)

You can specify the thickness of the coated paper (glossy: thick).

Change this setting only when printouts show heavy smudging. A higher number indicates greater thickness.

Coated Paper (Matted) Stg.

You can specify the thickness of the coated paper (matted).

The paper thickness can be set for each tray separately.

Change this setting only when printouts show heavy smudging. A higher number indicates greater thickness.

Coated Paper(Matted:Thick)

You can specify the thickness of the coated paper (matted: thick).

Waterproof Paper Setting

You can specify the thickness of the waterproof paper.

The paper thickness can be set for each tray separately.

Change this setting only when printouts show heavy smudging. A higher number indicates greater thickness.

Label Paper Setting

You can specify the thickness of the label paper.

The paper thickness can be set for each tray separately.

Change this setting only when printouts show heavy smudging. A higher number indicates greater thickness.

Envelope Setting

You can specify the thickness of the envelope.

The paper thickness can be set for each tray separately.

Change this setting only when printouts show heavy smudging. A higher number indicates greater thickness.

Replacement Alert

You can specify when the Alert Indicator lights up to prompt users to replace supplies.

Supply End Option

You can specify whether or not to continue printing after the drum unit exceeds its service life.

Display Supply Info

You can specify whether or not the amount of toner is displayed on the initial screen.

Menu Protect

You can specify whether or not to protect the menu settings. If you enable this setting, you must specify a protection level.

If you want to lower the protection level, disable this setting or select [Level 1].

You may not be able to change this setting depending on the setting of the printer.

List/Test Print Lock

You can specify whether or not to prohibit List/Test printing.

You may not be able to change this setting depending on the setting of the printer.

Unit of Measure

You can switch the unit of measurement between [mm] and [inch].

Panel Key Sound

You can specify whether or not to enable the panel key sound.

Display Contrast

You can specify the display density by selecting one of seven levels.

Key Repeat

You can specify whether or not to scroll the display panel when the [Down arrow key ] or [Up arrow key ] key is held down. When you enable this setting, specify the scroll speed. (If repeat time is set to "Long", scroll speed becomes slow.)

Compatible ID

You can enable or disable the Compatible ID setting.

Tray Parameters (PCL)

Enter the tray parameter replacement value for each paper tray or auto paper selection. You can register up to three tray parameters.

Enter the tray parameter replacement value for each paper tray. You can register up to three tray parameters.
