The following table show the paper types that can be loaded in each tray. See “Paper weight” table for the actual paper weight indicated by numbers in the “Paper weight No.” column. Use both tables to specify the correct paper type for the paper you are using.

The letters in the tables indicate the following:

  • When you print using Middle Thick Paper, Thick Paper 1, Thick Paper 2, or Thick Paper 3, the print speed may change.

  • The printing speed may slow down depending on the paper size, type, thickness, or orientation.

  • When paper smaller than 279 mm (11 inches) in width is used for printing, the printing speed may gradually slow down.
