To correctly display the top/bottom orientation of the scanned original on a client computer, the placement of the original and the settings made in the Scanner Control dialog box must match.
Open the Scanner Control dialog box.

In the [Original Scan Method:] list, select the place where the original is placed.
In the [Orig.Orientn.:] list, select [

].
In the [Orientation:] list, select [

If an original is placed in the ADF, from the drop down menu of [Scan Settings:], select [1 Sided], [2 Sided(Top to Top)], or [2 Sided(Top to Bottom)].
For SP 3600SF, only [1 Sided] is available in [Scan Settings:].
When the Original Size is set to A4, B5, LG (81/2×14 in), LT (81/2×11 in), or 81/2×13 in, [Orig.Orientn.:] cannot be specified.
