Setting up as a print server

This section describes the configuration procedure for network printers in the NetWare environment. In the NetWare environment, you can connect the printer as a "print server" or "remote printer".

Important

  • To use this function, an optional NetWare card is required.

  • To use this function, it is necessary to enable [NetWare] first. For details, see:

  • You can also enable NetWare using Web Image Monitor. For details, see Web Image Monitor Help.

  • IPv6 cannot be used with this function.

Note

  • This function supports NetWare 6.5.

  • This procedure assumes an environment is already prepared for normal NetWare running the printing service setting.

  • The procedure is explained using the following names as examples:

    • File server's name: CAREE

    • Print server's name: PSERV

    • Printer's name: R-PRN

    • Queue name: R-QUEUE
