Changing to a Size That Is Not Automatically Detected

If you load a paper size that is not selected automatically, specify the paper size using the control panel.

1Display the initial settings screen.

  • When using the standard operation panel

    Press the [User Tools/Counter] key.

  • When using the Smart Operation Panel

    Press the [Home] key on the top left of the control panel. Flick the screen to the left, and then press the [User Tools] icon (Operation panel screen illustration) on the Home screen 4.

2Press [Tray Paper Settings].

3Select a tray from [Tray Paper Size: Tray 1] to [Tray Paper Size: Tray 4] for which you want to change the paper size.

4Select the loaded paper size, and then press [OK].

5Close the initial settings screen.

  • When using the standard operation panel

    Press the [User Tools/Counter] key.

  • When using the Smart Operation Panel

    Press [User Tools/Counter] (Operation panel screen illustration) on the top right of the screen.

  • For details about paper sizes selected automatically, see Recommended Paper Sizes and Types.

  • If you want to print on paper that is selected automatically after printing on a paper size that is not selected automatically, you must return the setting to [Auto Detect]. Reload the paper, and select [Auto Detect] in Step 4.
