Having incoming documents printed on paper from the bypass tray

You can print documents sent from Specified Senders on paper from the bypass tray.

In [Program Special Sender] in the Facsimile Features menu, set as follows:

For details about Program Special Sender, see Special Senders to Treat Differently.

You can use a size of paper not loaded in the paper tray(s) in the bypass tray.

Note

  • For details about the bypass tray's paper capacity, available paper size, and the maximum length of paper that can be loaded, see "Recommended Paper", Paper Specifications and Adding Paper.

  • If the size of the paper on the bypass tray does not match the specified paper size, a message will appear on the display prompting you to load paper of the specified size. When you have loaded the paper, press [Exit] to print the document.

  • When loading paper longer than 355.6 mm (14 inches) on the bypass tray, select a tray other than the right tray as the output tray. Paper misfeeds will occur if you select the right tray as the output tray.

  • Documents printed on paper smaller than A4 (81/2 × 11) may be shortened, or split across sheets.

  • Paper that is larger in size than the maximum may be creased, not sent, or jam.

  • Print area depends on the machine's configuration, resolution, and vertical length of originals.

  • If you use this function, Image Rotation and 180-degree rotating printing are not possible.
