Two-Sided

This section explains how to configure settings for two-sided copies by copying single-sided documents onto the front and back sides of each sheet.

Important

  • The paper size must be A4Portrait, A5Landscape, A5Portrait, A6Portrait, B5Portrait, B6Portrait, 81/2 × 11Portrait, 81/2 × 51/2Landscape, 71/4 × 101/2Portrait, 16KPortrait, 100 × 148Portrait, or 148 × 200Portrait.

  • The paper type must be Plain Paper, Inkjet Postcard, or Postcard. If you set [Paper Type] to [Plain Paper], duplex copying can be carried out on inkjet plain paper.

Copies two 1-sided pages onto one two-sided page.

1Press the [Copy] key.

2Press [2Sd/Comb].

3Press the [Up arrow key] or [Down arrow key] key to display [1 Sdd. Orig.->2 Sdd. Copy], and then press the [OK] key.

4Press the [Up arrow key] or [Down arrow key] key to display the original orientation, and then press the [OK] key.

5Press the [Up arrow key] or [Down arrow key] key to display the duplex orientation, and then press the [OK] key.

6Place your originals, and then press the [B&W Start] or [Color Start] key.

If you use the exposure glass or SADF mode, press the [Sharp] key when all originals are scanned.
