The Duplex function cannot be used if you use Paper Weight 8. If the Duplex function is specified, press [1 sided
2 sided:TtoT] to cancel the setting.
Select the paper type according to the paper weight when copying onto thick paper.
To copy onto paper whose paper weight is Paper Weight 6 or Paper Weight 7, specify the paper type under Tray Paper Settings.
Paper Weight 4: 101.0–127.4 g/m2 (27.0 lb. Bond–46.9 lb. Cover)
Paper Weight 5: 127.5–150.0 g/m2 (47.0–55.0 lb. Cover)
Paper Weight 8: 256.1–300.0 g/m2 (141.1–165.0 lb. Index)
Load the paper face up in the bypass tray.
The bypass tray (
) is automatically selected.
Press the [
] key.
Press [Paper Size].
Specify the paper size, and then press [OK].
Press [Paper Type].
Select a paper weight, and then press [OK] twice.
Place the originals, and then press the [Start] key.
If you have selected Paper Weight 8, you cannot have copies delivered face down.
You can also load thick paper into the paper trays and make copies on it. Be sure to specify the paper type under [Tray Paper Settings]. For details, see "Changing Tray Paper Settings", Paper Settings.
