After creating a document, open the [Printing Preferences] dialog box in the document's native application.
Configure the following settings:
Job Type: Select a job type. Select [Sample Print] to store the document as a Sample Print file. Select [Locked Print] to store the document as a Locked Print file. Select [Hold Print] to store the document as a Hold Print file. Select [Stored Print] to store the document in the printer and print it later using the control panel. Select [Store and Print] to store and print the document at the same time.

Click [Details...], and then configure the following settings:
User ID: Enter a User ID.
Password: When storing a Locked Print file, enter a password. When storing a Stored Print file, specify a password as necessary.
File Name When storing a Hold Print or Stored Print file, specify a file name as necessary.

Click [OK].
Change any other print settings as necessary.
Click [OK].
Start printing from the application's [Print] dialog box.
If [Stored Print (Shared)] or [Store and Print (Shared)] is selected when storing a Stored Print file, the user who created the document and all users who have print privileges can print the document using the control panel. This setting is available when User Authentication is enabled using the PCL 6 printer driver. For details, see Security Guide.
