Specify the distance to move (offset) the print position in the vertical direction.

Format

yoffset=distance

Illustration of yoffset

  1. Y offset (yoffset)

  2. Image

  3. Printable area

Value and behavior

  • Specify the distance using an integer or decimal within the range of ±100 cm with its unit appended at the end. A negative value moves the print position upward, and a positive value moves the position downward.

  • The distance can be specified in mm, inch (1 inch = approximately 25.4 mm), pt (points) or dot (number of dots) units, unless the specified value exceeds the above-mentioned range. For example, if you want to set the vertical offset distance to 25 mm, enter the printing option as follows:

    yoffset=25 mm

    When no unit is appended at the end of the value, the machine calculates the area assuming the unit of the specified value is "cm."

Explanation

  • When this printing option is specified, the actual distance in which the image is moved on paper is calculated by adding this value and the value specified for "E. Y Offset" on the RTIFF Menu.

  • If the "O. Centring" setting on the RTIFF Menu is configured, or either the "center" or "nocenter" printing option is specified, the print position moves in the horizontal direction according to the value specified for the setting and the value specified for this printing option.
