Auto Paper Select

The machine selects a suitable size of copy paper automatically based on the detected original size and the reproduction ratio you select.

Important

  • You cannot use the paper bypass location with this function.

Original sizes and orientations that can be used with Auto Paper Select are as follows (when copied at a ratio of 100%):

2Place the original, and start scanning.

Note

  • Only the paper input locations set to [Do not Display] or [Recycled Paper] in [Paper Type] and also set to [Yes] in [Apply Auto Paper Select] under [Input Paper Settings] can be selected in Auto Paper Select mode. Paper input locations with a key mark (Operation panel screen illustration) will not be automatically selected. For details, see "Input Paper Settings", Connecting the Machine/ System Settings.

  • If you change the paper type, copying may take longer to start.

  • When [Auto Paper Select] is selected, copying may take slightly longer since the machine selects the copy paper after scanning the original.

  • If no paper suitable for the size and reduce/enlarge ratio you have specified is loaded in the paper input locations, load paper of the required size in a paper input location. Alternatively, you can select a suitable reduce/enlarge ratio for the paper currently loaded in the paper input locations. After doing one of the above, place your original again.
