Hold Print

You can temporarily store a document in the printer, and print it later using the control panel or Web Image Monitor.

1Open the document to print.

2Select [Print] on the [File] menu.

3Click [Job Log] in the pop-up menu.

4Click [Hold Print] in the [Job Type:] pop-up menu.

5Enter user ID in the [User ID:] box using up to eight alphanumeric characters.

You can add a name to the store document using up to 16 alphanumeric characters.

6To print a document on the specified time, select the [Set Print Time] check box.

You can specify the time in 24-hour format.

7Print the document using the print function in the document's native application.

The document is not printed at this time, but is instead stored in the printer.

8Print the document using the control panel.

Note

  • If an error message is displayed on the control panel, printing will not start even if it is the specified print time.

  • When the main power of the machine is turned off, printing will not start even if it is the specified print time. To print a document whose specified time has already passed, set [Jobs Not Printed As Machn. Was Off] to [Prt When Mach On] on the [System] tab under [Printer Features].
