This section explains the relationship between resolution and scan size when using the TWAIN driver or the WIA driver with the machine.

If [Binary(Text)], [Binary(Photo)], or [Gray Scale] is selected in [Col./Grad.:]
The scan size determines the maximum possible resolution.
Refer to the table below for the maximum resolution available for each scan size.

If the [Increase Scanner Memory by Disabling Browser] setting in [System Settings] is changed, restart the TWAIN driver. Otherwise, resolution settings and other input controls that can be specified on the driver screen will not work properly.
Certain original types and resolution settings can reduce scanning quality.
