Changing the Security Options Menu

Follow the procedure below to erase data inside memory.

Important

  • If you are using the Type 1 model, this setting appears only when the optional hard disk and the SD card provided with the hard disk are installed.

1Press the [Menu] key.

2Press the [Down arrow key ] or [Up arrow key ] key to select [Security Options], and then press the [OK] key.

3Press the [Down arrow key ] or [Up arrow key ] key to select [Extended Security], and then press the [OK] key.

4Press the [Down arrow key ] or [Up arrow key ] key to select [Erase All Memory], and then press the [OK] key.

5Press the [Down arrow key ] or [Up arrow key ] key to select [On], and then press [EraseNo.].

6Press the [Down arrow key ] or [Up arrow key ] key to enter overwrite times, and then press the [OK] key.

7Press the [Down arrow key ] or [Up arrow key ] key to select [On], and then press the [OK] key.

8Press the [Menu] key.
