This section explains the relationship between resolution and scan size when using the TWAIN driver or the WIA driver with the machine.

The maximum resolution you can specify is 1200 dpi when scanning from the exposure glass, and 600 dpi when scanning from the ADF.
Certain original types and resolution settings can reduce scanning quality.
The scan size determines the maximum possible resolution.
