This section describes the options that can be installed in the machine.
The Bluetooth interface unit (optional) will be available from 2011. Information about this option is subject to change. For the latest information, refer to the documentation provided when you purchase the Bluetooth option.
Fax options
Fax unit (types 1 and 3 only)
Allows you to use the facsimile function.
Expansion memory
Provides more memory for the facsimile function.
SD card options
Browser unit
You can use this function to display data from the server in HTML format on the machine's control panel. You can also use this function to send scan files from the control panel.
Board options
Wireless LAN board
Allows you to install a wireless LAN interface.
Gigabit Ethernet (1000BASE-T)
Allows you to communicate over 1000BASE-T.
File format converter
Allows you to download documents from the Document Server stored by copier, Document Server, or printer. See “Downloading Stored Documents with Web Image Monitor”, Copy and Document Server Reference.
Copy data security unit
If a document containing embedded text for unauthorized copy guard is copied, protected pages are grayed out in the copy.
USB options
Bluetooth interface unit
Allows you to expand the interface.
Install the options in recommended order. For details, see “Order of Option Installation”.
