To protect it from shock and vibration during transit, this machine comes packaged in cushioning foam and secured with tape. Remove these protective materials after bringing the machine to where it will be installed.

Removed tape is dirty. Be careful not to let it touch your hands or clothes.
Leave the tape holding the paper tray and cover in place while moving the machine.
Do not grip on the tray area when lifting the machine.
Do not allow small objects such as paper clips to fall into or become stuck inside the machine.
Keep the uncovered print cartridge away from direct sunlight.
When you use this machine for the first time, use the print cartridge packaged with the machine.
Remove the plastic bag.
Lift the machine by the inset grips on its sides.
At least four people are needed to lift the machine.
Lower the machine slowly and carefully to prevent trapping your hands.
Remove the adhesive tape attached on the machine's exterior.
Carefully pull out tray 1 (type 3 only).
Remove the extender from tray 1 (type 3 only).
Carefully push tray 1 fully in (type 3 only).
Attach the extender to the finisher tray (type 3 only).
Lift the ADF.
Remove the protective material attached on the exposure glass.
Lower the ADF.
Push the button on the right side of the machine to open the front cover.
Hold the print cartridge's front handle to lift and pull it out.
Place the print cartridge on a stable, flat surface.
Remove the protective material attached on the machine's interior.
Hold the grips of the cartridge, and then insert it into the machine until it stops.
Close the front cover.
Print cartridges (consumables) are not covered by warranty. However, if there is problem, contact the store where they were purchased.
The actual machine may come with protective materials attached in different positions. Make sure to check the machine for all protective materials, and remove them completely.
