Registering a User Code

This section describes how to register a user code.

Important

  • User codes are used for authentication. If necessary, register user codes matching the codes specified in the printer function. For details about how to register codes for the printer function, see the manual provided for the printer function.

1Press the [User Tools] key.

2Press [System Settings].

3Press [Administrator Tools].

4Press [Address Book Management].

5Check that [Program / Change] is selected.

6Press the name whose code is to be registered, or enter the registered number using the number key.

You can search by the registered name.

7Press [Auth. Info].

8Enter the user code using the number keys, and then press the [Sharp] key.

If you make a mistake, press [Clear] or the [Clear] key.

9Press [Down arrow keyNext].

10Select the functions to be used with the user code from "Available Functions".

11Press [OK].

12Press [Exit].

13Press the [User Tools] key.

  • You can enter a one-to eight-digit user code.
