Before Installing the Software (USB)

Before installing the software, connect the printer to your computer using a USB cable.

Even if the computer that you are connecting the printer to via USB is networked, you can still connect the printer and computer according to the procedure explained in this section. For details about sharing the printer, see Sharing the Printer.
