Make option settings for the machine using the printer driver when bidirectional communication is disabled.
Set up option settings when bidirectional communications are disabled.
Manage Printers permission is required to change the printer properties in the [Printers] folder. Log on as an Administrators or Power Users group member.
On the [Start] menu, click [Printers and Faxes] or [Printers].
The [Printers and Faxes] or [Printers] window appears.
Click the icon of the printer you want to use.
On the [File] menu, click [Properties].
Under Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Right-click the icon of the printer you want to use, and then click the [Properties].
Click the [Device Settings] tab.
Select options installed from the [Installable Options] area, and then make the necessary settings.
Click [Apply], and then click [OK] to close the printer properties dialog box.
