Tray 2

Paper Size

You can select the size of the paper loaded in the paper tray.

The paper sizes you can set for Tray 2 are as follows:

You can specify a custom size of between 5.5 - 13.0 inches (139.7 - 330.2 mm) vertically, and between 5.5 - 18.03 inches (139.7 - 458.0 mm) horizontally.

The default setting is Auto Detect.

Paper Type

You can set the display so you can see what type of paper is loaded in the paper tray.

The print function uses this information to automatically select the paper tray.

The paper types you can set for Tray 2 are as follows:

[Do not Display], [Recycled Paper], [Special Paper], [Color Paper 1], [Color Paper 2], [Yellow], [Green], [Blue], [Purple], [Ivory], [Orange], [Pink], [Red], [Gray], [Letterhead], [Translucent Paper], [Preprinted Paper], [Bond Paper], [Cardstock], [OHP (Transparency)], [Prepunched Paper]

Paper Thickness

The paper thicknesses you can set for Tray 2 are as follows:

  • Plain Paper

    52 - 105 g/m2 (14 - 28 lb BOND)

  • Middle Thick

    106 - 163 g/m2 (28 lb BOND - 90 lb INDEX)

  • Thick Paper 1

    164-216 g/m2 (90 lb INDEX - 80 lb COVER)

The default setting for "Paper Type" is Do not Display.

The default setting for "Paper Thickness" is Plain Paper.

The default setting for "Apply Duplex" is Yes.

The default setting for "Apply Auto Paper Select" is Yes.

The key mark is displayed next to the paper tray if [No] is selected in "Apply Auto Paper Select".

Designation Sheet 1 - 9

You can specify and display the paper tray to set designation sheets. You can also specify the display time and copying method for two sided copying.

  • Select Designation Sheet from 1-9

    You can specify paper tray 1-9 as the source trays for designation sheets.

  • Display Time

    You can select [At Mode Selected] or [Full Time].

  • Apply Duplex

    You can select [Yes] or [No].

Cover Sheet Tray

You can specify and display the paper tray to set front cover sheets. You can also specify the display time and copying method for two sided copying.

  • Display Time

    You can select [At Mode Selected] or [Full Time].

  • Apply Duplex

    You can select [Yes] or [No].

Back Cover Sheet Tray

You can specify and display the paper tray to set back cover sheets. You can also specify the display time and copying method for two sided copying.

  • Display Time

    You can select [At Mode Selected] or [Full Time].

  • Apply Duplex

    You can select [Yes] or [No].

Slip Sheet Tray

You can specify and display the paper tray in which to set slip sheets. You can also specify the display time.

  • Display Time

    You can select [At Mode Selected] or [Full Time].

Separation Sheet Tray

You can specify and display the paper tray in which to set slip sheets. You can also specify the display time.

  • Display Time

    You can select [At Mode Selected] or [Full Time].
