Tray Paper Settings

This section describes the User Tools in the Tray Paper Settings menu under System Settings.

Important

Printer Bypass Paper Size

Specify the size of the paper in the bypass tray when printing data from the computer.

The paper sizes you can set for bypass tray are as follows:

  • [Auto Detect]

  • [12 × 18Landscape], [11 × 17Landscape], [81/2 × 14Landscape], [81/2 × 13Landscape], [81/2 × 11Landscape], [81/4 × 13Landscape], [8 × 13Landscape], [71/4 × 101/2Landscape], [51/2 × 81/2Landscape], [41/8 × 91/2Landscape], [37/8 × 71/2Landscape], [A3Landscape], [A4Landscape], [A5Landscape], [A6Landscape], [B4 JISLandscape], [B5 JISLandscape], [B6 JISLandscape], [C5 EnvLandscape], [C6 EnvLandscape], [DL EnvLandscape], [8KLandscape], [16KLandscape]

You can specify a custom size of between 3.55 - 12.00 in (90.0 - 305.0 mm) vertically, and between 5.83 - 23.62 in (148.0 - 600.0 mm) horizontally.

You can specify a custom size of between 3.55 - 12.00 in (90.0 - 305.0 mm) vertically, and between 5.83 - 49.60 in (148.0 - 1260.0 mm) horizontally. For details about specifying custom paper sizes, contact your sales or service representative.

Tray Paper Size: Tray 1 - 2

Select the size of the paper loaded in the paper tray.

The paper sizes you can set for tray 1 - 2 are as follows:

The default setting is [Auto Detect].

You can specify a custom size of between 7.17 - 11.69 in (182.0 - 297.0 mm) vertically, and between 5.83 - 17.00 in (148.0 - 432.0 mm) horizontally. If you need the paper size, contact your service representative.

Tray Paper Size: Tray 3 - 4 (When the lower paper trays are installed.)

Select the size of the paper loaded in the paper tray 3 - 4 (When the lower paper trays are installed).

The paper sizes you can set for tray 3 - 4 (When the lower paper trays are installed) are as follows:

Paper Type: Bypass Tray

Sets the display so you can see what type of paper is loaded in the bypass tray.

The paper types you can set for the bypass tray are as follows:

  • [No Display (Plain Paper)], [Recycled Paper], [Color Paper], [Letterhead], [Label Paper], [Preprinted Paper], [Bond Paper], [Cardstock], [OHP (Transparency)], [Thick Paper 1], [Thick Paper 2], [Thick Paper 3], [Middle Thick], [Thin Paper], [Special Paper 1], [Special Paper 2], [Special Paper 3], [Special Paper 4], [Special Paper 5], [Special Paper 6], [Envelope], [Coated Paper], [Coated Paper: Gloss Print]

The default setting is [No Display (Plain Paper)].

Paper Type: Tray 1 - 2

Sets the display so you can see what type of paper is loaded in the paper tray 1 - 2.

The print function uses this information to automatically select the paper tray.

The paper types you can set for the paper tray 1 - 2 are as follows:

The default setting is [No Display (Plain Paper)].

The default setting for [APS] (Auto Paper Select) is "On".

The default setting for [Duplex] is "On".

[APS] (Auto Paper Select) can only be selected for the copier function if [No Display (Plain Paper)] and [Recycled Paper] are selected. If [Off] is selected, Auto Paper Select is not valid.

[APS] (Auto Paper Select) can only be selected for the copier function if [No Display (Plain Paper)] and [Recycled Paper] are selected. If "Off" is selected, [APS] is not valid.

Ppr Tray Priority: Copier (copier)

Specify the tray to supply paper for output.

Ppr Tray Priority: Fax (facsimile)

Specify the tray to supply paper for output.

The default setting is [Tray 1].

Ppr Tray Priority: Printer (printer)

Specify the tray to supply paper for output.

The default setting is [Tray 1].
