External options for type 3 and 4

This section provides explanations about external options for type 3 and 4.

  1. Media slot

    With this media slot, you can save scan files on a removable memory device.

  2. Exposure glass cover

    Lower this cover over originals.

  3. Auto document feeder (ADF)

    Load a stack of originals here. They will feed in automatically.

  4. Scanner Accessibility Unit

    This unit lets you operate the machine or scan documents from the side instead of using the control panel on the machine.

  5. Tray 3 (LCT)

    Holds up to 2,000 sheets of paper.

  6. Large capacity tray (LCT)

    Holds up to 1,200 sheets of paper.

  7. Lower paper trays

    Consists of two paper trays. Holds up to 1,100 sheets of paper. Each paper tray holds 550 sheets.

  8. Internal tray 2 (1 bin tray)

    If you select this as the output tray, copied/printed paper or fax messages are delivered here face down.

  9. Bridge unit

    Relays paper to the finisher.

  10. Internal shift tray

    Sorts and stacks multiple sheets of paper.

  11. Finisher SR3030

    Sorts, stacks, staples, and punches multiple sheets of paper. Consists of the following paper trays:

    • Finisher upper tray

    • Finisher shift tray

  12. Booklet Finisher SR3020

    Sorts, stacks, staples, and punches multiple sheets of paper. The saddle stitch function can staple multiple sheets of paper in the centre and fold them into booklets. Consists of the following paper trays:

    • Finisher upper tray

    • Finisher shift tray

    • Finisher booklet tray

  13. Finisher SR790

    Sorts, stacks, and staples multiple sheets of paper. Consists of the following paper trays:

    • Finisher upper tray

    • Finisher shift tray

  • When the Scanner Accessibility Unit is installed, the control panel and the scanner unit on the machine cannot be used.
