Order of Option Installation

Attach the paper feed unit (Paper Feed Unit Type 4000).

Attach the paper feed units to the bottom of the printer.

You can attach up to two paper feed units. Up to 2300 sheets of paper can be loaded in total.

Install the SDRAM module (Memory Unit Type G 128MB/256MB).

Install the expansion memory in the controller board slot.

There are two types of memory units, 128 MB and 256 MB.

Install the hard disk drive (Printer Hard Disk Drive Type 420).

Install the optional interface board.

Install an optional Gigabit Ethernet board, Wireless LAN interface unit, Bluetooth interface unit, or IEEE 1284 interface board in the slot.

Insert SD card options.

Install the security unit (HDD Encryption Unit Type C, Data Overwrite Security Unit Type K, Data Storage Card Type A), the camera direct print card (Camera Direct Print Card Type E), or the VM card (VM Card Type H).

Insert these units into the SD card slot on the controller board.
