Entering a pause

When dialing, you can press the [Redial/Pause] key as many times as needed to increase the length of a pause.

On some PBXs (private branch exchanges), after you dial the code for the outside line, there is a brief delay before you hear the dial tone for the outside line. If this is the case with your PBX, insert a pause by pressing ā€œ0ā€, and then the [Redial/Pause] key.

Important

  • To insert a pause after the outside line code registered in [Pre-Fix No.], press the [sharp] key after the code, and then press the [Redial/Pause] key.

Note

  • If you press the [Pause/Redial] key at the first digit of a Fax number, the redial screen appears.

  • A pause is shown as a ā€œPā€ on the display.

  • You can also program numbers including pauses in the destination list.
