Making printer default settings - printing preferences

Important

  • You cannot change the printer default settings for individual users. Settings made in the [Printer Preferences] dialog box are applied to all users.

1On the [Start] menu, click [Devices and Printers].

The [Devices and Printers] window appears.

Under Windows 8/8.1 or Windows Server 2012/2012 R2, click [Settings] on the Charm Bar, and then click [Control Panel]. When the [Control Panel] window appears, click [View devices and printers].

2Right-click the icon of the printer you want to use, and then click [Printing Preferences].

The [Printing Preferences] dialog box appears.

3Make the settings you require, and then click [OK].

Note

  • The settings you make here are used as the default settings for all applications.

  • For details, see the printer driver Help.
